A little bit WILD

The Progress is Real — And It’s Beautiful 🌸

It’s amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come. We started collecting flowers in a little glass jar — quite literally — into foraging with a small bucket through our thriving flower patch. Every week, we put in the hard yakka: watering the new additions, checking for grubs, planting out seeds, and keeping the weeds at bay. It’s been a labour of love, and we’re really starting to see that time and effort pay off.

With every flowering session, we’re learning more, growing more, and feeling more connected to the land and the rhythm of the seasons. There’s such joy in watching the changes — not just in the garden, but in ourselves as growers.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to expand again. We’ll be adding more of the Proteas we already adore, as well as introducing some new varieties. While we’re happy with the steady pace we’re moving at, we’re also eager to share more flowers with more people. There’s something truly special about sharing what you’ve grown with others.

As our beloved Little Prince and King Proteas wrap up their flowering a little later this year, we’re now watching with anticipation as our Pink Ice Proteas begin forming new buds again. The cycle continues — quietly, steadily, beautifully.

Right now, we have around 71 Proteas and Leucadendrons. Thanks to their staggered blooming, we’re lucky enough to be nearly flowering all year round with a few small lulls. There’s a small lull for us at the start of the year, but it’s just a gentle pause — a moment to rest before the garden bursts to life again.

We’re grateful. We’re growing. And we can’t wait to see what comes next. 🌿
