Growing More Than Flowers
Our flower stock and availability are slowly building, and with each season comes new opportunities to learn, grow, and create. Alongside growing beautiful blooms, we have also been developing our flower arranging skills and discovering which flowers, foliage, and fillers work best together.
One area we have been focusing on is increasing the variety of foliage and filler flowers available from our gardens. While our statement blooms are coming along well and becoming more readily available, it is often the fillers and foliage that bring an arrangement to life. They add texture, movement, depth, and help create the natural, garden-inspired style that we love.
All of our arrangements have a touch of wildness to them. We enjoy embracing the natural shapes and character of each stem rather than striving for perfection. It reflects the way our flowers grow here at G's Lane Esk and gives each arrangement its own unique personality.
This year, we have planted several Leucadendrons and are excited to see how they perform. We are hopeful they will become a valuable addition to our flower garden, providing beautiful foliage and colourful filler stems that can be used throughout the season. Their rich colours and interesting textures will add even more depth and interest to our arrangements.
We are not professional florists, and we don't claim to be. What we do have is a genuine love of growing flowers and creating with what nature provides. There is something incredibly rewarding about harvesting blooms grown right here at G's Lane Esk and transforming them into arrangements that can be enjoyed by others.
As our flower fields continue to grow and evolve, we look forward to sharing more of our journey, our successes, and even the occasional lesson learned along the way.
