A First at G's Lane Esk
There always seems to be a new first happening here at G's Lane Esk, and that's one of the things we love most about this journey.
We're not professional florists, but we are passionate about growing flowers and creating beautiful arrangements. Every season brings new opportunities to learn, experiment, and develop our skills.
The arrangement in the image below is our very first full floral arrangement. By "full," we mean it has no front or back—you can admire it from any angle, and it looks just as beautiful. Creating an arrangement that works from every direction was a rewarding challenge and a milestone we're proud to share.
This arrangement features two different varieties of protea, complemented by an array of foliage that adds texture, colour, and balance. We can't wait until our Leucadendrons are mature enough to start cutting from, as they'll add even more variety to our arrangements.
We were also eagerly anticipating our Kangaroo Paw flowers this season... until something decided they would make a tasty snack! Our poor plants were eaten right down to the ground. While it was disappointing, we haven't given up on them. We may invest in some larger plants so we can enjoy their vibrant blooms a little sooner.
Every success, setback, and "first" is part of the adventure. We look forward to sharing many more with you as G's Lane Esk continues to grow.
