At G's Lane Esk, we like a little bit of paddock magic.
Well... maybe I should say only one of us likes a bit of magic, while the other refers to it as the "junk yard!" 🤣
But hey, it brings me a little bit of joy every single time I wander past it.
Back in November 2025, G's Lane Esk was hit pretty hard by a hailstorm, and unfortunately the Gnome Tea Party copped it pretty bad. After months of being on my ever-growing "to do" list, I finally found a spare minute to give the area a little makeover. Things have been moved around, a few well-loved pieces had to be retired because they were damaged beyond repair, and the gnomes are once again ready to welcome visitors.
Of course, I already have big dreams for the space. I'd absolutely love to add a giant gnome—or maybe even two! After all, can you ever have too many gnomes? 😉
This little project also came with a lesson. As beautiful as china ornaments are, they don't stand much of a chance against Queensland's wild weather. From now on, I'll be looking for sturdier pieces made from metal or other durable materials so our little paddock friends can weather whatever Mother Nature throws at them.
For now, though, I'm pretty happy to see the Gnome Tea Party back in action, bringing a little bit of whimsy and a smile to everyone who stops by. ❤️
