Growth Isn’t Always a Straight Line 🌿
Every plant has its own journey.
Some plants thrive from the very beginning, growing quickly and easily. Others struggle along the way. They may become sick, take longer to establish, or face challenges that slow their growth.
And that’s okay. ❤️
Growth isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes it takes patience, care and a little more time before you see just how far something can grow.
It’s something worth remembering when you have a struggling plant, too. When a plant isn’t doing well, it can be tempting to try everything at once — new fertiliser, more water, different soil, extra nutrients or moving it to a new spot.
But sometimes, doing too much can overwhelm an already struggling plant.
A steady approach is often the better approach. Give your plant time to respond before introducing another change. When adding fertiliser or nutrients, take it slowly and follow a consistent routine rather than trying to fix everything at once.
It can be hard to be patient when you want to see your plant recover, but sometimes giving it too much attention can push it further in the wrong direction rather than helping it back to health.
And, just like people, sometimes despite everything we do, a plant may not pull through. That can be difficult to accept, especially when we have tried our best. But not every plant has the same needs, and not every outcome is within our control.
Here at G’s Lane, we believe in taking a more natural approach to growing. We choose not to use chemical fertilisers, even though this can sometimes mean taking a slower path. For us, we believe that patience, healthy soil and natural growth create a healthier approach in the long run. 🌱
Plants are individual, just as we are as humans.
Some grow quickly. Some take their time. Some need a little extra care. Some struggle before they find their way, while others seem to flourish with very little help.
Maybe we could all be a little more like trees — stop comparing our growth to everyone else’s and simply keep growing. 🌳
Give yourself, and your plants, permission to grow at your own pace.
Sometimes slow growth is still growth. ❤️
